A Bucks County man will receive an $850,000 as a settlement of a lawsuit filed against an

armored vehicle company whose truck was involved in an accident that caused him serious injuries.

Garda CL Atlantic, Inc. has agreed to settle the negligence claim brought by Frank Jazlovietcki, the injured victim of a crash with one of its drivers.

On April 21, 2012, Jazlovietcki was traveling northbound in his 1983 Chevrolet on Brookwood Drive towards the intersection with Street Road in Bensalem, Pa. A GARDA armored vehicle was traveling westbound on Street Road toward the Brookwood Drive intersection. At the time, the traffic signal for westbound Street Road was steadily red, according to the complaint.

At the same time that Jazlovietcki crossed the intersection, the GARDA vehicle blew through the red light and t-boned Jazlovietcki’s car, spinning the vehicle into another car, up the curb, and into a grassy area.

As a result of the accident, Jazlovietcki suffered a number of injuries. He sustained a left arm fracture and bulging discs in his neck and lower back. His neuropsychologist also diagnosed him with mild cognitive deficiencies and post-concussion syndrome.

Before the accident, Jazlovietcki worked part time in a K-Mart warehouse, doing heavy lifting and manual labor. He has not worked since his accident.

Jazlovietcki's attorney Joseph Messa, Jr., said in a statement that he “[is] glad that GARDA accepted responsibility for the actions of its employee.”
