A Pennsylvania resident brought allegations against her employer and three staffers alleging violation of employment law in 2013.

Shavon Green sued Management & Training Corp. d/b/a Keystone Job Corps Center of Drums, Pa; along with Barbara Bloss, Lori Thuringer and Charlene Hentosh in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania on May 6, alleging discrimination and harassment from 2011 until her August 2013 termination.

Green, who is African-American, was hired by Keystone as a residential adviser in September 2010; and claims that she was subjected to racial epithets and slurs beginning in May 2011. Asserting that severe and pervasive harassment created a hostile working environment, she states that she filed five complaints in 2012-2013.

The plaintiff avers that her HR manager laughed at her allegations; that her case was dismissed as unfounded; and that she was terminated from Keystone on or about Aug. 2, 2013, on what she claims to be false pretexts of misbehavior. She declares that Keystone did not initiate a proper investigation.

Citing racial discrimination and termination, Green alleges unlawful employment practice and violation of federal and state law. She seeks punitive damages; compensatory back and front pay; interest; attorneys’ fees, and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Barry Dyller and Theron Solomon of the Dyller Law Firm in Wilkes-Barre.
