A Philadelphia man seeks damages for injuries he sustained when a SEPTA bus operator and a limousine driver crashed at a Center City intersection in 2012, according to a personal injury claim filed at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Roy Coley, of the 1900 block of Ridge Ave., filed for compensatory damages not to exceed $50,000 from a list of defendants that include bus driver Ricky Moeton and SEPTA, chauffeur Shali Roy Loltman and his employer, Sterling Limousine & Transportation Services, based in Newtown, Pa.

According to the complaint, Coley was a passenger on a SEPTA bus on June 7, 2012, when Moeton violently crashed into a Lincoln Navigator operated by Loltman at the corner of Market Street and 19th Street.

The severity of the crash caused cervical damage to Coley, as well as back sprains and other potentially permanent injuries, the suit claims. Coley alleges negligence by the drivers caused a crash that could have been avoided if their attention was properly focused.

Coley is represented by Philadelphia attorney Scott Quinn.

The case ID number is 140600351.
