Music corporation Broadcast Music Inc. is suing a Philadelphia bar over copyright infringement.

Broadcast Music Inc. and seven other copyright entities filed a lawsuit July 6 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against O’Mare’s Irish Pub for unauthorized use of music.

According to the filing, the defendant allowed public performance of 15 songs without a license or permission to do so.

The plaintiff seeks a judgment in its favor to prevent the defendant from committing further acts of copyright infringement and to pay damages and court costs. BMI is represented by Stanley Cohen of the Caesar Rivise Law Firm.
