PITTSBURGH -- A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania salesman recently sued a medical device manufacturer alleging he was terminated from the company because of his age.

Scot Stevenson filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania on Oct. 23, alleging  Boston Scientific Corporation violated the Age Discrimination Employment Act and the Pennsylvania Human Rights Act when it terminated him due to his age.

While working as a coronary representative for Boston Scientific, Stevenson alleges the company created false claims of lack of performance, and otherwise harassed him and the "old gang in the sales force" due to his age. He also alleges that he was unlawfully terminated on Sept. 18, 2014.

Stevenson is seeking damages in excess of $75,000, plus attorney fees and punitive damages. He is represented by Gregory G. Paul of Morgan & Paul, PLLC in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
