Falcon Drilling sued over alleged unpaid overtime

Timecards

PITTSBURGH – A man is suing a Texas drilling company over claims it miscalculated overtime compensation owed to its employees.

Jack Johnson, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a class-action lawsuit Jan. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Division against Falcon Drilling, alleging unpaid overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

The suit states that during the time Johnson worked for Falcon Drilling, he received hourly pay and overtime compensation for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

However, the suit claims Falcon Drilling failed to include bonuses in overtime calculation.

Johnson and others in the class seek to recover unpaid back wages, liquidated damages, interests, attorney fees and other costs of the suit. They are represented by attorney Joshua P. Geist of Goodrich Geist in Pittsburgh; attorneys Michael A. Josephson, Andrew Dunlap, Lindsay R. Itkin, and Jessica M. Bresler of Fibich, Leebron, Copeland, Briggs & Josephson in Houston; and attorney Richard J. Burch of Bruckner Burch in Houston.
