PITTSBURGH — A Greensboro woman is suing a Rices Landing business, alleging she was terminated because of her age.

Marsha Presock of Greensboro filed a lawsuit Jan. 26 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Nexgen Industrial Services Inc, alleging age discrimination and filing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

According to the complaint, Presock was employed by Nexgen from April 2011 until her termination in August 2015, at which time she was an accounts receivable manager.

The suit says on Aug. 21, 2015, the defendant informed the plaintiff that, although she was doing a great job, there were cuts that had to be made and Presock was discharged. The following Monday, the lawsuit states, a younger female employee was hired in the position Presock had held.

Presock seeks damages of reinstatement and seniority, compensation for lost wages, pension and court costs, and that the defendant be enjoined from future discrimination against her. She is represented by attorney Samuel J. Cordes of Samuel J. Cordes & Associates in Pittsburgh.
