HARRISBURG — A former employee has filed a class-action suit against the owner of a company that provides services to the natural gas industry, alleging violation of overtime wage laws.

Michael Trevorah, on behalf of himself and similarly situated employees, filed a lawsuit on March 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Linde Corporation, citing violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

Linde Corporation owns and operates a company that services Pennsylvania’s natural gas industry, according to the complaint, which says Trevorah was employed by the defendant from September 2011 until May 2015, working in a position the operation termed an ECU employee.

The plaintiff claims that the defendant failed to pay overtime compensation for any hours worked over 40 per week. He is filing the suit collectively on behalf of any employees who were not properly compensated for any week since March 22, 2013, the claim says.

Trevorah seeks class action designation, unpaid overtime wages, prejudgment interest, liquidated damages, litigation costs, expenses, and attorneys’ fees. He is represented by Peter Winebrake, R. Andrew Santillo, and Mark J. Gottsfeld of Winebrake & Santillo LLC, in Dresher and Brian Petula of Crossover Law PLLC, in Clarks Summit.
