PHILADELPHIA — A former vice president of a financial firm is suing the company for allegations of age discrimination and wrongful termination.

Pamela Griesemer filed a lawsuit on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Fulton Financial Corporation, alleging unlawful age discrimination in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA).

According to the complaint, Griesemer was employed by the defendant until her termination on Sept. 12, 2014, working as the vice president of marketing. The plaintiff claims that in June 2013, the company hired a new chief marketing officer who allegedly forced several employees to quit due to high stress levels in the office.

On Sept. 12, 2014, the plaintiff was terminated and replaced by a younger employee, which she claims was done in violation of her rights under the ADEA and the PHRA, the suit alleges.

Griesemer seeks compensation for all lost wages and benefits, actual and punitive damages, costs, expenses, and a trial by jury. She is represented by Timothy M. Kolman, Wayne A. Ely, and W. Charles Sipio, in Penndel.
