PHILADELPHIA – A janitorial services company is being sued over a claim that it failed to pay a former operation manager proper overtime wages.
Martin Campfield filed a lawsuit April 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against ABM Janitorial Services alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Payment and Collection Law.
According to his claim, from the date of hire in October 2010 as a field operations manager until July 2014, he routinely worked in excess of 40 hours in a work week, working anywhere from 50 to 60 hours, but did not receive proper overtime compensation.
Campfield is seeking back pay and/over overtime wages in an amount consistent with the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as liquidated damages in accordance with the FLSA and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
Campfield is demanding a jury trial and listed no legal representation in his complaint.
