PHILADELPHIA — A former supervisor is suing Country Meadows of Allentown, Country Meadows Associates, George M. Leader Family Corp., Karen Geiser, Bonnie Mfarej and Patty Rohrbach, citing alleged gender discrimination, hostile work environment and wrongful termination.

Patrick Keschl filed a complaint on May 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they violated the Civil Rights Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has been irrevocably damaged, causing him to sustain loss of earnings, emotional and psychological distress, loss of self esteem, loss of future earnings, plus back pay, front pay and interest. He was terminated on July 30, 2014, the suit says. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected him to disparate treatment, sex-based harassment, sex-based discrimination and retaliation for his complaints of discrimination and hostile work environment, and failed to take reasonable actions to prevent said illegal practices from taking place.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor and against the defendants for compensatory damages, injunctive relief declaring the defendants' practices to be unlawful, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and attorney and expert witness fees and for such other relief as is deemed just and proper. He is represented by David L. Deratzian of Hahalis & Kounoupis PC in Bethlehem.
