Government says borrower in default

Late 04

PHILADELPHIA — The federal government is suing Tracy D. Smith, a Philadelphia resident, citing alleged default in payment.

The United States of America filed a complaint on May 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that Philadelphia resident Smith failed to comply with a loan agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damages for not collecting payment from a loan in a total of $19,099.46. The plaintiff holds Smith responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay her indebtedness.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $19,099.46, plus a filing fee of $150, plus interest from the date of judgment until paid in full and costs of this suit. It is represented by Thomas I. Puleo of KML Law Group PC in Philadelphia.
