PHILADELPHIA — An former assistant manager is suing Lowe's Home Centers LLC, citing alleged age discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Jeff Paone filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Lowe's Home Centers LLC, alleging that the former employer violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has sustained damages due to loss of income and fringe benefits. The plaintiff holds Lowe's Home Centers LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated him because of his age and for being the most senior and the highest-paid manager, failed to comply with its own policy and failed to compensate and reinstate him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a permanent injunction enjoining the defendant from discriminating or retaliating against him, prohibiting the defendant from continuing its illegal policy, compensation for all damages, legal fees, costs and expenses. He is represented by Timothy M. Kolman of Kolman Ely PC in Penndel.
