Law money 03

PITTSBURGH — An employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against Rice Energy Inc., claiming the company failed to properly compensate him for overtime.

Dyson Robinson filed a complaint on June 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Rice Energy Inc., alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate the plaintiff for all his hours worked.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Rice Energy Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime compensation at the legal rate.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid compensation, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid compensation, court costs, interest, and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Joshua P. Geist of Goodrich & Geist, P.C. in Pittsburgh, Michael A. Josephson, Lindsay R. Itkin, Andrew W. Dunlap and Jessica M. Bresler of Fibich, Leebron, Copeland, Briggs & Josephson in Houston and Richard J. (Rex) Burch of Bruckner Burch, P.L.L.C. in Houston.
