HARRISBURG — A motorist is suing Dr. Maliyakkal J. John, alleging negligence in a traffic collision.
David M. Garletts filed a complaint on July 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against John, alleging that the defendant failed to properly control his vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 1, 2015, he was involved in a vehicular collision, causing him physical injuries and damages to his property. The plaintiff holds John responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to timely apply his brakes and failed to keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $75,000, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Carl J. Greco and James D. Greco of Greco Law Associates, P.C. in Scranton.
