Feds seek repayment of four student loans

PHILADELPHIA — The federal government is suing Levar Desper, an individual, alleging failure to repay four student loans.

The United States of America filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Philadelphia resident Desper, alleging indebtedness to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered monetary damages for unpaid debts. The plaintiff holds Desper responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff despite its demand.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of $57,182.31 plus interest, court costs and any further relief until paid in full. It is represented by Zane David Memeger, Margaret L. Hutchinson, Virginia R. Powel and Anthony St. Joseph of the U.S. Attorney's Office.
