Motel employees claim violation of wage law

PHILADELPHIA — Two employees are suing Concordville Development LLC t/a Hillside Motel, and company officers William McGonigal Sr. and William McGonigal Jr., alleging violation of federal wage law.

Peggy Pflugh and Terrence Pflugh filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate the plaintiffs for their work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Peggy Pflugh and Terrence Pflugh were not paid the legal minimum wage or proper overtime compensation. The plaintiffs holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for all damages, unpaid minimum wages, unpaid overtime, liquidated damages in the sum of $1,056,358.12 and $139,201.20 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Samuel A. Dion of Dion & Goldberger in Philadelphia.
