Man says credit reporting agency gave false information

PHILADELPHIA — A consumer is suing Credit Bureau of Lancaster Inc., a consumer credit reporting agency, citing alleged defamation and negligent misrepresentation.

Daniel Eugene Dacheux Sr. filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Credit Bureau of Lancaster Inc., alleging that the consumer credit reporting agency reported derogatory and inaccurate information to third parties regarding the plaintiff's credit history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages in the form of lost credit opportunities and damages to his credit score. The plaintiff holds Credit Bureau of Lancaster Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly reported inaccurate and false information about his credit history.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Mark D. Mailman and Gregory J. Gorski of Francis & Mailman, P.C. in Philadelphia.
