Woman accused of failure to repay debt

PITTSBURGH — The federal government is suing Kristina N. Padezan, alleging unpaid debt.

The United States of America filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Padezan, alleging that the defendant failed to settle her debt to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from the unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Padezan responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount plus interest despite the plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff seeks the amount of $6,421.20, interest and court costs. It is represented by John F. Kroto of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C. in Erie.
