Pedestrian seeks compensation after allegedly being hit by delivery truck

PITTSBURGH — A pedestrian is suing Craig Distributing Company, Centre-Craig Distributing and employee Michael P. Custer, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Ryan S. Fisher filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging that their employee failed to properly control a delivery truck.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June 2015, he sustained severe physical injuries from being struck by a delivery truck. The plaintiff holds the defendants and employee Custer responsible Custer allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout while operating the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $35,000 plus punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Vincent J. Barbera and Michael P. Barbera of Barbera, Clapper, Beener, Rullo & Melvin, LLP in Somerset.
