Caring Heart Rehabilitation and Nursing Center accused of not paying proper overtime

PHILADELPHIA — An employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against Caring Heart Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Inc., alleging that the employer failed to follow wage laws.

Salfu Conteh filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that Caring Heart Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Inc. failed to fairly compensate him for his work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid compensation, liquidated damages, all court costs and  any further relief the court grants.
