PITTSBURGH — A woman has filed a class action lawsuit alleging failure to pay minimum wage.

Chelsea Koenig is suing employers Primanti Corporation d/b/a Primanti Bros; David Head; Andrew Taub; Demetrios Patrinos; James Chu; Nicholas Nicholas; and Doe Defendants 1-10, alleging violation of wage laws.

Chelsea Koenig filed a complaint on Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate her for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between May 2012 and September 2013, she was improperly paid due to abuse of the "tip credit" provision. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the law by also making illegal deductions from her pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an injunction against the defendants, unpaid minimum wage, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants.

She is represented by Fary F. Lynch, Benjamin J. Sweet and Jamisen A. Etzel of Carlson Lynch Sweet Kilpela & Carpenter, LLP in Pittsburgh, Gerald D. Wells III and Robert J. Gray of Connolly Wells & Gray, LLP in King of Prussia and Michael K. Yarnoff of Kehoe Law Firm, P.C. in Philadelphia.
