PITTSBURGH — A married couple's lawsuit against three real estate brokers alleges breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation.

Michael N. Bucaro and Jennifer Bucaro filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against David A. Dean, Peter J. Barner and Howard Hanna, alleging that they failed to perform necessary steps to sell the plaintiffs' property to avoid its demolition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2014, they suffered damages including the costs of demolition of a house. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to appear or affirm the terms of a sale agreement before a court in order to save the property from forced demolition.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of the arbitration limits of the court plus treble damages, court costs and interest. They are represented by John J. Zagari of Zagari and Associates in Pittsburgh and Alexander J. Jamiolkowski of Egan & Jamiolkowski in Pittsburgh.
