PITTSBURGH — A married couple's lawsuit alleges negligence in medical care.

David Davis and Sunny Davis are suing Arthur Fine, M.D., and Arthur Fine, M.D., P.C., alleging liability and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries. The plaintiffs filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging a failure to provide proper medical care to David Davis.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2014, David Davis experienced severe pain from having a surgical tack left inside his body after surgery. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for alleged neglect of the duty to make sure the surgical tack was removed from David Davis' body after the procedure.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $35,000. They are represented by Michael J. Colarusso of Colarusso and Cohen, LLC in Pittsburgh.
