Woman accuses Susquehanna Bancshares of retaliation, discrimination

HARRISBURG — A woman is suing her former employers and former supervisor, alleging violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act, retaliation, discrimination, hostile work environment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Elizabeth A. Torres filed a complaint on Sept. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against BB&T Corp. d/b/a Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. and Carlton Andy Klinger.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between 2012 and 2015, she experienced retaliation during her employment which led her to leave the company. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for her alleged constructive termination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks back pay and benefits, front pay and benefits, interest, compensatory damages, court costs, punitive damages and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Jeremy Donham of Donham Law in Dellslow, Wyoming.
