Mercy Health System of Southern Pennsylvania accused of violating wage laws

PHILADELPHIA -- A former employee is suing Mercy Health System of Southern Pennsylvania, alleging violation of wage laws.

Nicole Kelly-Myers of Philadelphia filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Mercy Health System of Southern Pennsylvania, alleging the employer refused to fairly compensate her for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly violating wage laws by not paying a proper overtime premium.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all owed compensation, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants.
