Federal government claims Aircraft Management Services owes money

HARRISBURG — The federal government is suing Aircraft Management Services Inc., a corporation, citing alleged unpaid debt.

The United States of America filed a complaint on Oct. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Aircraft Management Services Inc., alleging that the corporation failed to settle its debt to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered monetary damages from the unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of its debt with the plaintiff plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks $206,668.94 ($144,782.10 principal, and $9,424.72 interest accrued through Dec. 31, 2015), interest rate of 6 percent after Dec. 31, 2015, filling fees of $400, and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Dennis C. Pfannenschmidt of First Assistant U.S. Attorney in Scranton.
