Woman says credit reporting agencies incorrectly listed mortgage

PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing TransUnion LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Information Services LLC, Rushmore Loan Management Services LLC and Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing LLC, alleging negligent misrepresentation by credit reporting agencies.

Rebecca Guthre filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they reported inaccurate information regarding her credit history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages to her credit score. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly reporting her husband's mortgage on her credit report.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, an order to immediately and permanently delete all inaccurate information from her credit report and files, plus any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group, LLC in Collegeville.
