Man who allegedly slipped and fell accused Giant Eagle of negligence

PITTSBURGH — A man is suing Giant Eagle Inc., a Pennsylvania company, alleging negligence in connection with an alleged fall.

Devin Baurle filed a complaint on Nov. 7, in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Giant Eagle Inc., alleging that the Pennsylvania company failed to keep the floor of its establishment free of any foreign substance that could cause an accident.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 11, slipped and fell on the defendant's property. The plaintiff holds Giant Eagle Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed a foreign substance on the floor and failed to warn the plaintiff about it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $35,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Marc I. Simon of Simon & Simon, PC in Pittsburgh.
