PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing debt collectors and credit reporting agencies, alleging negligent misrepresentation.
Taylor R. Bassi filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against
TransUnion LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Capital One Bank USA N.A., Kohl's Department Stores Inc., Webbank, Bluestem Brands Inc. d/b/a Fingerhut, Comenity Bank, Ascena Retail Group Inc. d/b/a Justice Stores, Tween Brands Inc. d/b/a Justice Stores, and Verizon, alleging that they reported inaccurate information regarding her credit data.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages to her credit rating. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly reporting inaccuracies pertaining to accounts that do not belong to her.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, delete all inaccurate information regarding the plaintiff's credit score, and any further relief this court grants.
