PITTSBURGH — A representative of a deceased man's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Asbury Health Center, United Methodist Services for the Aging and United Methodist Community of Mount Lebanon, all doing business as Asbury Heights, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Nancy Panza, as executrix of the estate of Richard Panza, filed a complaint on Nov. 8, in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to Richard Panza.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Richard Panza suffered from falls, contributing to and/or causing his death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for their alleged failure to properly address Richard Panza's fall risk.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Gary A. Butler of The Massa Law Group, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
