Former employee accuses Xome of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 03

PITTSBURGH — A former employee is suing Xome, a Pennsylvania business, citing alleged wrongful termination.

Jamar Shegog filed a complaint on Nov. 23 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Xome, alleging that the Pennsylvania business unlawfully terminated the plaintiff's employment based on his criminal history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from being terminated from his employment. The plaintiff holds Xome responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated his employment based on his previous criminal record despite being informed of the history prior to his employment, and for failing to consider that the history was not relevant to the plaintiff's job duties.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks loss of wages, damages, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Kayla H. Drum of Kraemer, Manes and Associates, LLC in Pittsburgh.
