Woman trips over hose, sues Sam's Club

PITTSBURGH — A woman is suing Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores East LP, alleging negligence in connection with a fall.

Judith Wesolowski filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging that they failed to keep their premises safe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 28, she sustained physical injuries when she tripped on a hose running across the parking lot of a Sam's Club. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly allowing the hazardous condition to exist and for failing to warn about the hazard.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds $35,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Marc I. Simon of Simon & Simon, P.C. in Philadelphia.
