PHILADELPHIA — A consumer is suing CMC Restoration Inc., Christopher & Brummett, Inc. and David Kelley, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Gloria Sturzenacker filed a complaint on Jan. 9, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they called the plaintiff and her brother regarding a debt she allegedly owed.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was misled into signing a contract for home repairs after a storm, and that unsatisfactory work was performed on her home, leading to a payment dispute. The plaintiff claims the defendants violated collection law in an attempt to collect an alleged debt.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for actual damages and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by William J. Fries of Fries Law in Allentown.
