Married couple claim VA provided improper medical care

PHILADELPHIA — A married couple's lawsuit against the United States of America alleges negligence in medical care from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Robert Colajezzi and Lydia Colajezzi filed a complaint on Jan. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the United States of America alleging that failure to provide proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Robert Colajezzi has experienced persistent pain and swelling following foot surgery. The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for the alleged failure to properly interpret and diagnose Robert Colajezzi's condition.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $6 million plus court costs. They are represented by Richard L. Frankel of Bross & Frankel, P.A. in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
