PITTSBURGH — A man is suing Joseph Lopretto, Michael Betz and Polish National Alliance of The United States of North America Lodge 352, a beneficial association and two bar patrons, alleging assault, battery, insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries, negligence and unlawful sale of liquor to intoxicated persons.

Clinton L. Fine filed a complaint on Dec. 1 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging that the the Polish National Alliance in McKeesport served Lopretto and Betz too much alcohol.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 21, 2014, he sustained physical injuries including a fractured nose and other injuries from being physically assaulted by Lopretto and Betz. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for the alleged attack and injuries, claiming that the Polish National Alliance bar overserved Lopretto and Betz, leading to an intoxicated state in which they assaulted the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. He is represented by Mark J. Homyak of The Homyak Law Firm, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
