Monaca woman claims slip-and-fall injuries outside of McKees Rocks 7-Eleven

Slip01

PITTSBURGH — A Monaca husband and wife are suing a convenience store, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries at the establishment.

Margaret Hoffman and James Hoffman filed a complaint against 7-Eleven Inc., t/d/b/a 7-Eleven and store operators Anthony G. and Linda Trapuzzaano, on Dec. 6 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that they failed to keep the vicinity of their McKees Rocks store free from hazardous substances.

According to the complaint, the Hoffmans claimed that on March 3, 2015, Margaret Hoffman suffered physical injuries when she slipped and fell due to an accumulation of ice on the sidewalk. The plaintiffs the Trapuzzaanos and 7-Eleven responsible because they allegedly failed to provide adequate warning that ice had built up on the sidewalk.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. The Hoffmans are represented by Jason M. Lichtenstein and Justin D. Joseph of Edgar Snyder & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
