Courtscalesgavel673

MEDIA – A plaintiff has initiated legal action versus a local retirement community, claiming its negligence led her to fall on a patch of ice and be injured as a result.

Suzann Lallone of Haddon Township, N.J. filed suit on Jan. 4 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, against Riddle Village, Inc., Riddle Village Development, LLC and Riddle Health Foundation (collectively doing business as Riddle Village), all of Media.

“On or about Jan. 12, 2015, the plaintiff was exiting a building on the property after tending to a resident when she slipped and fell on an accumulation of ice on the driveway near the exit, sustaining injury,” the complaint details.

The plaintiff believes the facility ignored the clear danger of ice accumulating on the property’s surface, which directly led to her accident and her suffering traumatic injuries to her back and neck, right shoulder injuries, bumps, bruises contusions and nervous system injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking damages, jointly and severally, in excess of $50,000 and in excess of court’s compulsory the arbitration limits.

The plaintiff is represented by Gerald B. Baldino Jr. of Sacchetta & Baldino, in Media.
