Watsontown company says it suffered financial damages after its lease was ended early

SCRANTON — A Watsontown corporation is suing Clean Harbors Environmental Services Inc., citing alleged breach of contract.

Moran Industries Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Clean Harbors Environmental Services alleging that the Massachusetts corporation terminated its lease agreement with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Moran Industries alleges that it sustained damages from having its lease agreement terminated prematurely. The plaintiff holds Clean Harbors Environmental Services responsible because it allegedly caused financial loss to the plaintiff by ending the lease agreement for plaintiff's property early.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $1,005,194.78 plus rent, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. The company is represented by John R. O'Brien and Michael J. O'Brien of Oliver, Price & Rhodes in Clarks Summit.
