PHILADELPHIA — An employee is suing Multitek North America LLC, a Wisconsin lumber business, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries after he was hurt on a logging machine.

Joseph Siruc filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging that the Wisconsin business manufactured a defective logger.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Jan. 14, 2015, he sustained serious physical injuries when his leg got caught in the blades of the logger. The plaintiff holds Multitek responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the defective nature of the saw.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $150,000 plus damages, interest and court costs. He is represented by Kevin P. O'Brien and James P. McNally of Stampone Law PC in Cheltenham.
