PHILADELPHIA — A Chester County woman is suing an Illinois company, alleging misrepresentation in debt collection.

Renee Walls of Downington filed a lawsuit Feb. 17 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Alltran Education Inc. doing business as Enterprise Recovery Systems Inc. of Woodridge, Illinois, alleging the defendant illegally sent a notice to the plaintiff regarding a debt she allegedly owed.

According to the complaint, in February 2016, Walls sustained monetary damages from receiving a collection notice that contained false information regarding her debt. The plaintiff alleges Enterprise Recovery Systems said Walls' debt would continue to incur additional interest until it is settled in full despite also stating that the current interest charge is zero.

Walls seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and all further relief the court grants. She is represented by attorney Antranig Garibian of Garibian Law Offices, P.C. in Philadelphia.
