PHILADELPHIA — A Nevada film production and distribution company is suing 13 unnamed individuals in Eastern Pennsylvania, citing alleged copyright infringement.

Cook Productions LLC filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against John Does 1-13 alleging that the individuals transmitted unauthorized copies of the plaintiff's 2016 motion picture Mr. Church.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained damages from having its motion picture distributed without consent. The plaintiff holds the 13 individuals responsible because the defendants allegedly used a BitTorrent software to share plaintiff's motion picture.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks for the defendants to destroy all unauthorized copies of plaintiff's motion picture, as well as statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. The plaintiff is represented by Charles Thomas and Lee M. Herman of Creative Rights Law Group PLLC in Media.
