PITTSBURGH — A labor chairman representing a steel workers' union is suing International Steel Services Inc. d/b/a American Iron Oxide Company, citing alleged breach of contract.

Daniel A. Bosh, chairman on behalf of the board of trustees of the Steelworkers Pension Trust, filed a complaint on March 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania alleging that the employer failed to transfer monthly contributions to the labor group's trust fund.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that employees sustained damages due to unpaid contributions. The plaintiff holds International Steel Services responsible because it allegedly failed to make timely payments to the plaintiffs for their monthly contributions and has only made partial payments toward its obligations thus far.

The plaintiff seeks to enjoin the defendant and order the defendant to preset for an audit and seeks immediate payment of all monies past due, judgment for the sum of $550,471.66 plus liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Neil J. Gregorio of Tucker Arensberg P.C. in Pittsburgh.
