PHILADELPHIA — A Rydal woman is suing Nissan North America Inc. c/o Corporation Service Company and R & D Motors Inc. d/b/a Infiniti of Willow Grove, a car manufacturer and dealership, citing alleged breach of warranty, design defect and product liability for problems with a new car she purchased.

Susan C. Liebman filed a complaint on March 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they manufactured and sold a defective vehicle to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she purchased a brand new vehicle that had defects, necessitating multiple trips back for service from the time it was bought in October 2013. The plaintiff holds Nissan and R & D Motors responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to fix the various defects of the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount equal to the price of the subject vehicle, collateral charges, incidental and consequential damages, punitive damages and court costs. She is represented by Richard L. Gerson and Nicole Gerson of Gerson, Capek & Voron in Philadelphia.
