Four sue Bucks County defense contractor for alleged unfair wages

Law money 03

PHILADELPHIA — Four former employees are suing Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation, a defense contractor, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

Marco Ramos, Lorenzo Roque, Justin Hamilton and Ryan Bethune filed a complaint on April 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Navmar, which is based in Bucks County, alleging that the employer failed to properly compensate the plaintiffs for their work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they sustained damages from working without being paid minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiffs hold Navmar responsible because it allegedly misclassified its employees in order to avoid paying them overtime wages.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek injunction against the defendant, damages, unpaid back and front wages, liquidated damages, penalties, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Peter R. Rosenzweig of Kleinbard LLC in Philadelphia.
