Employee says Navmar, military contractor, failed to pay adequate overtime

PHILADELPHIA — A California man has filed a class-action lawsuit against Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation, a defense contractor, citing alleged unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

Marco Ramos filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on April 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Navmar, based in Bucks County, alleging that his former employer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from performing his duties at work without being paid properly. The plaintiff holds the company responsible because it allegedly failed to pay overtime wages to the plaintiff despite his claims that he regularly worked over 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks injunction against the defendant, damages, unpaid back and front wages, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Peter R. Rosenzweig of Kleinbard LLC in Philadelphia.
