Strategic Capital Investments says Maryland firm tried to avoid paying commission

Law money 07

PHILADELPHIA — A financial firm is suing Bill Miller Equipment Sales Inc., a Maryland corporation, citing breach of contract for attempting to avoid paying a commission it allegedly owes.

Strategic Capital Investments LLC filed a complaint on May 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Bill Miller Equipment Sales alleging that it failed to pay commission to the plaintiff based on their agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained financial damages to its business. The plaintiff, which helped the defendant secure a lender for its business, holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly attempted to secretly renegotiate a loan with the lender to avoid paying a commission for plaintiff's services, which is a breach of their agreement.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of $85,000, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Alan L. Frank of Alan L. Frank Law Associates P.C in Jenkintown.
