PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Capital One Bank, claiming violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Amy Sudor filed a complaint on May 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Capitol One Bank alleging that the financial institution called the plaintiff several times to collect an alleged debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2017, she was damaged from receiving several collection calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Capital One Bank responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite her request to stop doing so and used an automatic dialer.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, statutory damages of $1,500, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Adam T. Hill of Krohn & Moss Ltd. in Chicago.
