Pennsylvania man accuses Merchant Source Inc. of telephone harassment

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania man is suing Merchant Source Inc. (MSI), Anthony Delillo, George M. Greco Jr., a New York corporation and its employees, for alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

James Everett Shelton filed a complaint on June 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that they contacted him without consent.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he experienced damages from being contacted in an attempt to solicit his business. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly offering their services to him by placing several phone calls to his mobile telephone.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 for each negligent violation, $1,500 for each knowing violation, injunctive relief, statutory damages of $21,000, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is representing himself.
