QlikTech alleges former employees took confidential information, now work for competitor

Contract 01

PHILADELPHIA – A Radnor visual analytics platform and user-driven business intelligence company alleges that five former employees have unlawfully used confidential information.

QlikTech Inc. filed a complaint on July 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Ryan Heinig, David Bonlander, Brian McCarthy, Brian Trowbridge and Jason Yttre alleging misappropriation of trade secrets and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants resigned from Qlik to work for competitor AppDynamics and emailed highly confidential and trade secret information from the plaintiff's servers to their own person email accounts before leaving.

The plaintiff holds Heinig, Bonlander, McCarthy, Trowbridge and Yttre responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their contractual agreement with the plaintiff and purportedly caused a substantial revenue loss as a result of their conduct.

The plaintiff seeks order the defendants to return all misappropriated documents, enjoin the defendants, exemplary damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Jonathan R. Cavalier and Susan N. Eisenberg of Cozen O'Connor in Philadelphia.
